When purchasing air tickets with miles, try checking different itineraries for each leg for availability, better connections or better pricing.

We are not big on domestic land travel, but we are huge fans of train travel in Europe. We highly recommend high speed trains and going first class reserved seats.

Our advice is to go with a small cruise line - whether ship or river boat. Smaller ships/boats are more intimate and they can get into more desirable ports.

When choosing resorts and hotels, we pretty much have the same philosophy as cruising - we tend to prefer the smaller venues where we can get better service, reasonable pricing and meet like minded travelers.
